I do as well, except that they are not his views at all, they are the brain washed views of the likes of Dr. Filipe Castro etc. (they are not allowed to have their own veiws as he has previusly stated: "The Portuguese one (APA), for instance, will remove you from the profession if you fail their deontological code").

It is just like those weird religious sects and organisations, all the brainwashed on the inside believe every word they are told by their teachers, and that what they do, and the way they live their life is the only way, whilst everyone on the outside know's that they should be preaching and doing something compleatly different.

Maybe Alexandre posting on here is a cry for help, and he really wants to be rescued from the company he keeps !

It is being even a small part of "the passion of the event", to be part of a genuine "adventure"
that most folks take the plunge - even if only financially! Undersea exploration is just that - exploration.
It is not archaeology! Aspects of this fledgling off-shoot of anthropology can be useful tools to the
undersea explorer but one must always remember where the school of archaeology stems from....

It {arkeologie} once was called Egyptology, which grew from the age old past time also known as grave robbing
which turned into a hobby of the rich and "selected" upper crust.

Which they still think they are!

They truly think their shlee doesn't stink!

Reading the followups with no disrespect that old saying "A sucker is born every minute" comes to mind. Greg Stemm who pays himself over $750,000 a year salary compensation, a company that is in the red if you are an investor, what do you think of this.

Depends upon where you got the info, how it was calculated, and whether the originators have a hidden agenda. Are they funded by George Soros for example, or perhaps Goold for another. Anybody in the theater can scream "FIRE"!

The ongoing rub for archaeologists is that treasure hunters (read 'public at large') see archaeologists as treasure hunters, but archaeologists don't see treasure hunters as archaeologists. Treasure hunters, like archaeologists, are in it for the finding of a "thing", be that what it may. Thereafter, the motives diverge, with the archaeologists tending toward a hoarding behavior, while the treasure hunter tends toward a divestment behavior. One hunts for the sake of the hunt, whereas the other hunts for the sake of the overall collection.

Since I am still in the treasure finding stage myself, and not an investor, I would not offer an opinion on Forbes. I will look into it. I perceive Forbes as the Kelly Blue Book of nosey accountants. However, being a poor man, I have no need to read it. But, I might start. Maybe I'll get rich!

Forbes LLC struggles to stay afloat in the media business. Randall Lane, one time editor for Newsweek left there in 2011 to take over Forbes as chief editor.
John Kerry is a Forbes grandson, by the way, and his cousin Lalonde in France, is green to the gills (probably immaterial, but interesting, none the less).

Forbes seems to have a habit of letting contributors and advertisers run their publications. Smacks of PAC's to me, especially so in view of Newsweek's pink slant.
I quit wrapping my fish with Newsweek... they rotted overnight.

Where are the figures now public associated with the HMS Victory(one billion plus$!)? The Gairsoppa? Odyssey’s ventures into ocean mining?

I sure hope when they pull out the Victory he and all of his team get a big fat bonus for having made such a historical deal with the British government that will prove to be a working model that might send Alexandre and the rest of his archeo-nazis friends to the hospital.
