Public parks in Baltimore have a reputation of being Hunted out, Pounded to death, But still produce a variety of finds. 1875,1876, & 1889 Indian Heads, Dateless Shield, a V, and 6 Buffalos, about two dozens of wheats, a War of 1812 navy button, some very nice copper piece, maybe part of a buckle? The tiny golden buckle is actually a pin, and its plated but cleaned off really nice, part of a military decoration from WWI, the silvers showed up in the form of 3 war nickels, a 1941 Merc, A small sterling piece with a floral motif that im sure is a part of a silver bracelet, last but not least the sterling chain piece, may be from a pocket watch, who knows, all i care is that is really pretty. Thanx and good luck to all.

Good to see some Baltimore treasures! Sad is so much has been covered over the years, even a few parks.

Nice variety of finds from our hunted out parks. My trips to druid and riverside usually consist of alumn scraps and modern change. I have found a few goodies in the past years but recently declining fast. You did really well, Congrats.

You did VERY well.
The 1875 & 1876 Indians look pretty good & may clean up nicely , 'Ill take any 1870's IH. :icon_thumleft:

Also a great Variety of other relics you got from the HO Park.

Big Coil or little Coil ?

Wow, great variety! Especially all those buffs. So awesome!

Thanx, I think I messed up and used the buffs from a previous post, since i put them all together, but 6 new buffs did come out.

Too true! They "cleaned off" the top 4 inches or so...sucked up all those shallow silvers. From what the old-timers say, there was so much shallow silver they didn't have to bother going deep chasing iffy signals...could you imagine traveling back in time...let's say...1964 (no clad!)...with one of today's machines. Now THAT would be fun! Ddf

So true, yes I imagine that swell.

Wow that's one impressive hunt! I pound the same old parks and get a few oldies but haven't had a day like that. U going with the big coil on the AT?

Yes I have use the NEL Attack coil

Thanx Mr. Fallis, yes all Baltimore parks are really low producing sites at the moment lets hope for better days

Thanx, Yes love those 1870s IHPs but don't find them often, I use the NEL Attack, which is a big coil.

Congratulations on all your keeper finds. This is a good example when you upgrade to a more advanced machine don’t be in a hurry to look for new sites go back to every site you hunted with your old machine. Hopefully your keeper finds will increase. Good luck!

That's one fine old coin shooting with some nice jewelry thrown in, congratulations! :occasion14:

I bet your glad all those that hunted the areas before you were only digging high tones or didn't know what they were doing. You sure pulled your share of mid tones. That park you hunted needs another grid. Where all these dug in one hunt?

Actually, I got an 1864 Indian out of one last year, and a boat load of modern change, however, don't think I'll renew my permit for 2018. I don't especially like the city. When I was there my digging partner spotted a short circuited robbery attempt on a park goer. I don't like looking over my shoulder when I'm detecting.

Thanx, yes the At Pro with the Attack coil is going much deeper.
