Public parks in Baltimore have a reputation of being Hunted out, Pounded to death, But still produce a variety of finds. 1875,1876, & 1889 Indian Heads, Dateless Shield, a V, and 6 Buffalos, about two dozens of wheats, a War of 1812 navy button, some very nice copper piece, maybe part of a buckle? The tiny golden buckle is actually a pin, and its plated but cleaned off really nice, part of a military decoration from WWI, the silvers showed up in the form of 3 war nickels, a 1941 Merc, A small sterling piece with a floral motif that im sure is a part of a silver bracelet, last but not least the sterling chain piece, may be from a pocket watch, who knows, all i care is that is really pretty. Thanx and good luck to all.

I bet your glad all those that hunted the areas before you were only digging high tones or didn't know what they were doing. You sure pulled your share of mid tones. That park you hunted needs another grid. Where all these dug in one hunt?
Loco one long hunt, couple of hours and other shorter hunts, but same area of the same park.

Actually, I got an 1864 Indian out of one last year, and a boat load of modern change, however, don't think I'll renew my permit for 2018. I don't especially like the city. When I was there my digging partner spotted a short circuited robbery attempt on a park goer. I don't like looking over my shoulder when I'm detecting.

Sad but true, the city crime and murder rate are really high, but because of work and family thats what i can afford at the moment, im two years into detecting, never had a problem except once some middle school kids though it would be nice to throw rocks and sticks at me while i was on the ground searching for my target, quickly got up and swung my shovel in the air by this time those poor kids were so scared they never bothered me again despite passing by other days close to where i was detecting.

Nice finds! That seems to be the opposite of hunted out. Holy nickels! The ground was very kind to them. I think that copper thing is the coolest find! What is it? So ornate. I really like it

I think it's part of a buckle of some sorts.
