Thursday Afternoon Finds

I looked for 3.5 hours yesterday and found these.

not bad in my book almost one an hour, do you know the material of the blue point ? i have a few scrapers and a core that i think are the same. what part of the country are ya from

I am from southwest Georgia and the material is coastal plains chert.

Found some good ones- Little bit of coast plains chert made it up around here. Wish more had of though

Looks like you hunted an area that was mostly sand instead of clay by the look of them.
I love that blue coastal plains..quite a bit showed up along the St. Johns river down this way.
That one looks nice and deep blue under the patina.

It is a sandy field. They put in seed beds to plant green beans but it has not been planted. We have had a lot of rain this week (1.1 inches Tuesday, 1.9 inches Thursday, and so far 2.0 inches Friday and today.) I'm excited about going back to look it again.

That sandy soil should lay down real good.
