Time to sell?. over $22 today...$24..ummm... at $25...$30...$35..$46.66 huh!

If I do sell, I will sell big and I will pay off a mortgage on a rental property or something (to get continued return). No flashy expenditures here. Frankly, I will hold out as I see taxes going higher in the next few years (regardless of who is in office....have to pay for all our wars as well as social programs).

Howdy Y'all,
I sold some 40%ers today at 94.4% of melt. I'm still holding on to some, and I'm keeping all of my 90%ers for now. I felt that the time was right to sell some (I'd kind of made my mind up about that over the weekend and yesterday). I work so much that I can't hunt like I used to and I only buy when it's below melt. I don't have as much as many of you, so if TSHTF it wouldn't help me for long anyways. I could've got a little more if I'd have sold earlier in the day, but it was on an upswing, and I wanted to see if people would keep holding and I'd keep watching it climb, or if the big dogs would start screaming "SELL! SELL! SELL!" and drive the price down with the flood of selling. It took a downturn, so I decided that I'd sell. Like anyone else who sold, I'm hoping that I picked a good time, and can buy it back on the cheap early next year or maybe even later this year.
I also picked up 3 silver Washingtons well below melt today.

I have absolutely no idea. $50 by May wouldn't surprise me. Neither would $25. I would think some big money jumped on the silver train somewhere along the line and will take their profits sometime in the near future, driving prices down at least temporarily. Maybe they're waiting for $50...or $75..or $964. Who knows
I certainly don't.
While I enjoy seeing the value of my stash increase almost daily, I also know that the economic conditions that is driving that price higher is not good. My grocery bill has jumped at least 25% in the last 6 months or so. I expect gasoline to be $5 a gallon this summer, and may not even peak there. Unfortunately I'm not recovering enough silver to even make up the difference.

I agree about the prices and inflation. Groceries alone are costing me about $75 a week more and gasoline...I'm just glad I picked up a car that gets more than 35 mpg. That being said, I do enjoy calculating how much my "small" pile is worth. I am ahead of the game with the silver but my salary hasn't increased to keep pace with these price increases. I guess I better get some more PM's!
