My wife and I went out Friday and Sunday over Labor Day weekend. I'm just throwing all the finds in one post. Nothing really spectacular, although we found a couple interesting items. My wife had the only coins of the weekend. Two very toasty wheat pennies. You have to look at them in just the right angle in the right lighting to even see the wheat on the reverse and you can barely see Abe.
So, my wife started digging her own finds on Friday and had tons of fun. We got back out again on Sunday morning for a few hours. Beautiful days with a nice breeze.
Wife's finds. Quarter is for size reference.
This was an interesting find. It's a knob from a Perkins Rotary light switch. Early 1900's
We think the item on the left below is an old socket from a socket wrench.
My finds. I found the largest barrel tap I've ever found.
Below you'll find another buckle, some snaps, and some lead chunks.
Found this ring on Friday.
Plan on going back out tomorrow. Thanks for looking.
