Today's little beach hunt
Back to the little beach where I first got in the water. Sorry to say I didn't do as well as Max. Boy did he have a great day! I got in the water, it was not quite light yet but the water was clear and felt good. Not one hit in an hour. Oh well, I will try up on the dry sand. Got a hit right off the bat. A quarter. YES! That is what I want. Then nothing..... then another hit. I dug and dug and dug but found nothing. I hate digging with this big scoop. In the water it is not so bad and in dry sand it is pretty good but if the sand is damp..... ugh! Never did find what I was looking for. Evidently I don't pinpoint so good with this CZ-20. I keep trying and eventually I'll get it. I threw the quarter down and pinpointed it perfect. Hmmmm that isn't the problem. Maybe it is trying to figure out how deep the object is.... I don't know but I had 3 separate hits this morning that I just could not find.
I decided to go over to the playground, also sand. I found a dime right off the bat. OK this is better. Then I got another hit that I could not find. Sheesh! Then another hit and this one I found, a toy motorcycle. So my total for this morning was 35 cents and a toy motorcycle.
Well not quite. I always talk to the park attendants when I see them and this morning one came over to me and handed me a baggie. It had a hair brush and an earring in it. He said he was going to throw it away but thought I might like it. I thanked him.
I threw the brush away later myself because I don't use anyone else's brushes or combs. Who knows what scalp condition they may have and I have enough problems of my own. The earring I kept. It is heavy for it's size but there are no markings on it. One end is broken off and if there were markings it might have been there. Who knows.
Those were my great finds today. All in all.... not bad for me. I'll take it.
