Our last Wednesday off before Christmas break… so off we went! Very frosty again, but no fog. Back in a different corner of the same field near the river. Well the beeps did not stop, lots of tiny lead had but in amongst an amazing assortment, I got a crusty coin and a gorgeous little hammered, (no I’d yet)…. plus a lead weight, part of a ring, musket balls, buttons and other bits and bobs.

Curious about the thing I’ve put the red dot above, we find a few of these all different sizes?

Took some winter pics to get you in the Christmas spirit 😍 we live in such a beautiful area, I love seeing it in every season. Also took a pic of the Ridge and furrow field as the afternoon sun caught it beautifully I thought. Xx

Excellent !!!

From everything I’ve seen, it is apparent that everyone who has ever lived in England just went around the country flinging anything metal out in the dirt.
I don’t see how so many things still turn up

More history, smaller footprint.
To put it into context the Mayflower landed in 1620. The Roman occupation of Britain was nearly 400yrs alone.
We're babes in the woods in comparison.

X = Georgian cloth/coat hanger.
Nicely done on the 1/2 Groat :hello2:
