I found this button early this summer. For a while now I have thought that it was a newer button because of the condition and its color.
The more that I learn here at TNET the more I am convinced that it is a tombac button.
The color is about the same as a dime, but there is a very small spot of green corrosion. This suggests atleast a small amount of copper in the metal.
What is it and how old ???

Thanx for the help in advance, VPR

Thank You Don for the info and the link.

I guess that it is older than I thought. Are these uncommon?

Thanks again for the help, VPR

They are not uncommon--but not common either.
