I hunted again with my buddy George tonight, he did great on old coins. It also turned out to be a productive hunt for me. I found two junk rings and two pieces of gold. The rest of the finds were a clad dime, a bullet and very little trash. This is actually the first time I've ever found more than one piece of gold during an outing. I think the gold finds are pretty unique too, which makes this more memorable to me. My second target of the night after a piece of aluminum was the 10k saw. It's really pretty cool as to how much detail was put into this little piece.
The second piece of gold I'm convinced belonged to the best find I ever made. It's a 12k bar to a watch fob, and it had a 10k soldered loop attached to it. This would explain why there was no top to the watch fob when I found it. I guess I was meant to make this find and reunite the pieces. I plan on sending the bar and loop with the masonic chain to Sicily with my father in November to have my uncle who is a very talented jeweler make it whole again. Thanks for looking, Steve
