If they start crawling through dog houses, swinging from trees or make up their own language, I shutting it off!

This will get the ball rolling on more regulations..............

Anyone want to buy some used metal detectors.

Normally, I hate reality shows, but I'll watch the first couple of them to see if it's worth watching.
Photos from the first 2 shows.

Dirt Diggler? Wasn't that the name of Matt Damon in Boogie Nights?

HAS to be better than American Savage!

Josh Silva is Sentinal on here and a fantastic guy....I despise these shows though and will NOT watch them...its the beginning of the end of our hobby

I have met the main cast and can call most friend
they expressed realistic values (when the producers tried to inflate them as in other shows)
and tried to express the history - I think many or most of the items were donated
but don't know what was edited by the powers that be
you can see cast on my album page

Hey kuger, hows it going...I don't think the well done shows will hurt the hobby any more than a fishing show hurts the hobby of fishing. People know that you don't catch a fish on every cast like they do on the shows. I think most people are smart enough to take the shows for what they are...good entertainment...now if your worried that more people will start detecting because of the shows, I think that will definitely happen.

If one ever exist!

Nope! You give humans too much credit!

Agreed! Best thing about this is that there will a lot of lightly used entry level detectors in a few months. Buyers market anyone?

Blah blah blah blah!! Blah, blah blabber blah. Blabberly blab blab. Blah blah blah. Okay, I'll watch it too, but only bits and pieces of it I can manage to sneak in between breaks in Game #1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Bruins are gonna do some poopity scoop action on hawks fer shure.

terrible tv show and personality's hate it

Okay I managed about five minutes of it. As usual, the audio of the tecter is "dubbed in", totally out of sync with the coil motion. Don't these grips know how to friken wire a mic up to a freegin tecter phone plug, in this electronics wizard age we live in?? What a frikin joke, it's ludicrous. No really, it's laughable. After I heard the audio go beeb beeb beeb without the coil even moving, I shat canned it. Take it from me, you can get more outa watching videos of ten year olds diggin wheats with their ace250's on youtube. The show is mildly entertaining but technically poor, and it's a fantasy tectin show anyway, the sites are outrageous, not places that can be accessed by the average Joe Tecterman, like parks and such. I give it two thumbs down for tecting reality, and one thumb up for the silly bit of entertainment value you might get from it after about a six pack or so. When people ask me if I watch those shows, I tell them that it is a bunch of crap not indicative of the pastime. Game #1 Stanley Cup is a barn burner, Boston 3, hawks 2. Watch that. Anything is better.

Show #1 - better than the other tectin shows. Still kinda dumb!

Show #2- on now...

What kind of artifacts are they digging?

Hope someone can post clips of it soon on YouTube or something!

TV is just keeping up with the times in the good ole U.S.S.A. Bad is good now, good is bad.Fake is real and real is fake.Just boil it all down until you get, reality isnt real, reality television is real.Nothing worse than fakes.

I did the park and school - average Joe places 30+yrs ago
I hit more places like like out of the way forts and cellar holes - abandoned beaches - and field and home permissions now
you got to realize that the producers and editors of all these shows - dont know anything about detecting
and they to my knowledge do not use consultants when editing and that is one of the biggest probs
one thing they were totally honest about is the prices - these TH'ers all banded together and fought the powers that be
to not inflate the values - when the directors/producers wanted sky rocketed values on all the items like you see on the other show
nothing was planted - I know sometimes producers did not get the right angle or there was shadows and they had to reshoot possibly
the guys editing these shows and filming just care about the finds - not how they got them - these shows should have consultants when editing
I saw spot where Abbey gets a hit and ground looks distrubed - and then spot she digs is not
I saw another quick bit where nothing was dug but they showed them burying a plug then went to them getting a signal - they filmed I think over 100 hrs to get 6 =22min episodes
I just wish the show was an hour so they could get into the history and the hobby more in depth and show more of the other finds
was told they only have 1 maybe 2 cameras
so you got 6 people - if you get a find and camera is 100 yrds away
you have to wait or dig the target and if is something good - put it back till they get free to get to you
- was told by a few that it drove them nuts some times cause they were told not to dig yet
or were into a spot with finds and had to wait their turn for camera to come around - mean while the others are digging and your waiting
and sometimes it was a while - this having to wait is reason they did not get even more finds I think at the fort
