Chivas Regal 18. Three fingers on the rocks.:headbang:
My broncos are out, wife's Cowboys are out.....so....
Go Packers!!
Go Colts!!

I am a big time Scotch lover and I love Chivas....

I was 18 when I was first stationed in Okinawa in 1968. The LT Col I worked for was also from my home base of McCoy AFB in Orlando. Col took me out the first night there and told me he will buy all the drinks any time we were out drinking, but he only drank Scotch and I would learn to drink scotch and he drinks Chivas..... I have been a Chivas Scotch man ever since.......

Something new. Chivas Regal Extra. Home

Until about 7 years ago, I very seldom drank; almost a teetotaler. When I started drinking, I was mixing vodka, orange juice, Collins mix, and maraschino cherry juice. Then started trying whiskey. I didn't really care for whiskey earlier. I found out quickly that I didn't care for most whiskeys. I found Canadian pleasant, but lately discovered Southern Comfort. The honey flavored whiskeys are quite good, and some of the pecan flavored ones. But I'll take the Southern Comfort over any of them. (After all, I am a southerner! Maybe transplanted, but still from the south.)

Can't stand to even smell bottle cap of Southern Comfort now, drank to much of it when I was in my 20s..

I have been on a Margaretta kick the last couple of months..

I've never tried too many of the mixed drinks. Tequila Sunrise, salty dog, bloody Mary, John Collins, and Tom Collins are about the only ones I remember having.

Long Island Ice Tea is the only mixed drink I like. but I do have/had Jägerbombs when I snowboard, but I'am getting to old for it.

I have drank most at one time or another, I use to love Singapore Slings, Mai Tai, Slow screws and Slow screws up against the wall, carried purple hooters in a pocket flask.

For parties we use to pour a fifth of ever clear in a small cooler then add any juices that was red did same thing with green juices, then cut up limes, lemons, oranges and put them in cooler.

Ahhhhh, my fraternities recipe for Jungle Juice...only we mixed it in 30 gal garbage cans.....the pure alcohal was suppplied by a brother who was in Graduate School and settings up the Crash program in Vt., that all those picked up for DUI have to this day still take after conviction.....justice is served.....Gary

Many moons ago when I was 19 my friend got into a scuffle over a damn pool game in our local bar. He lost and sat back down at our table. Other guy was laughing up at the bar and wouldn't quit. I told him to shut up. He pointed toward the door. Out we went. After 20-25 seconds I came back in to get his coat and cheap helmet up at the bar to throw out. When I came back in Issy the barmaid asked "what about this drink he just bought and paid for"? I said hell, "I'll drink it". It was a lime vodka Collins. Never had one or heard of one. I had only drank beer up to this point. Not bad... so I had another, and another, much more and another.

I HAVE NEVER DRANK A HARD DRINK AGAIN IN MY LIFE AND WON'T.... It took me 3 days to "get right" again. Today I'd just shoot myself and be done with it. In hindsight I lost that fight in the end. If I knew who he was I'd call and tell him and let him laugh at me. Glad those days have passed...!!!!!!!!!!! :occasion14:

What was good was the recovery period was pretty quick, if I passed out I was awake in an hour or two and ready to party more. The ever clear we were using was 190 proof.

When I lived in Nebraska we use to grill a 1/4 side of beef on open spit starting Friday afternoon, then Sat we would add roasted corn on a tin sheet over 2nd fire and a small pig for Sat night. Party ran from Friday night to Sunday afternoons......

We camped on site, I had a fully custom van so I always had a nice comfortable room where ever I went......

Guy like MANY members here... Jeff would have a field day banning a lot of us if we got diarrhea of the mouth about some of "our party" days. Being in a very good local rock band returned many dividends and I'm not talking about the couple hundred bucks each from Fri. and Sat. night. Free drinks... free food... hell... FREE EVERYTHING with a choice!!!!!!!!! :tongue3: Life was so good and carefree then at the time.... Brad

yeah I remember when I was playing with the Eagles..

I tried a bottle of Seagram's American Spiced whiskey a few weeks ago. Really like it!
