Trapper's Trowel

I picked up one of these off of ebay, so far so good, 26" long (think I'll shorten it) the blade is about 1 3/4" x 4 and it can make a deep small diameter hole, and has a D handle, I think I like it for 19 bucks ;D

Necessity is the Mother of inventions...if it works, then the problem is solved.

Re: Trapper's Trowel

I use a trappers trowel for trapping and for MD. In 20 years time, I broke one - and that was my fault, not the tools. Most trappers call these "yoho's" - that is one of the brand names, but almost everyone calls them that - it's a very distinct type of shovel, that is a work horse. The length of the handle gives you leverage that you won't get with a shorter handle.
