Treasure Clue, can you help?

Hello All -

I don't have the time or even the patience to look through all the posts. ?The ones I have seen are extremely interesting. ?I won't find the treasures but am just interested in the book and everyone searching.

I wanted to know if anyone mentioned anagrams for: ?(Especially since he spells Faires with an I throughout the book instead of an E.)

YE NOMENCLATURE OF FAERIES ?-- ???
PICKENSROOTERS ?-- ? ? "RECOPIES TOKENS"
KOOTENSTOOPITS ? --- "I TOO SPOT TOKENS"
FLOWER FAERIES -- ???

Also, is there a good post that discusses the ciphers in full detail?

Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Haley,

You might want to go through the rest of the archive to catch up with the rest of us. ?Plus, it saves us all time by not going over things that have already been discussed, solved etc. ?It's a rough go of it at first, but you'll be glad you went through it all. ?Be sure to verify everything that you believe to be of interest. ?There is some false information out there. ?Also, when you get to the "Jet Email", don't worry, it's all a big hoax, he did NOT find any of the tokens.

Not sure what is on pages 75, 76 and 77, but I'll give them a once over and let you know if there has been anything discussed thus far.

Carol, as for my post earlier. ?I am going to head home tonight, and go over as much of the book as I can. ?I am going to try and get the "poem" down verbatim, and the locations of all the creatures in the book. ?If we can all agree as to what we are all looking at then at least we can all be going our own separate ways from the same foundation. ?Let me know if anyone believes this isn't a good idea.

xlogicx, very interesting indeed. ?I'm also going to give my two cents to this interesting, and very believable idea, of the 1-10 five to side being applied to the A-Z missing the Q box. ?I'm curious to know why everyone is linking 'the one that is missing you did not see' to the page of colored blocks that is missing a Q. ?I'll admit that you have an interesting coincidence, but you're also digging too deep in my opinion. ?You have the butterfly on the first page, and the beetle on the other. ?Just doesn't jive for me.

Does anyone else think this sub-poem is real and, if so, what are you seeing that we obviously are not?

Remember that the full line is "Within the text you have the key, For the one that is missing you did not see."

I agree with Haley that the one that is missing is the crystal Pook--not the letter Q. I don't see anything in the text that provides a key to the letter Q. Also, when you consider the line as a whole, it does not say the text is the key to finding all the tokens. It just says it holds the key to the "ONE" (whatever it is) that is missing.

As always, postings are merely opinions, but this is the only way we can make progress in solving this puzzel.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH US! ;D

Hey, I just noticed something...in the zip codes I'm finding and looking into, the strongest contenders all have four even numbers and one odd number. "an even code with one piece nary" Hmmmmmmmm

that makes sence.....but where are you getting the other zip-code numbers?? ???

Sara ;)

LitDoc:

I interpreted the poem lines you reference as follows: (lines may not be exact)

An even code with ONE PIECE NARY
Will spell out the sanctuary
Within the text you have the key
For THE ONE THAT IS MISSING you did not see

I interpreted the 'one piece nary' and the 'one that is missing' as the same thing.

If that is true,, the letter 'Q' could make sense as the fill in. It is what we leave out of the even code, and that's because it is the only letter we do not see anywhere in the entire text.

If considering that stanza in its entirety is what we are supposed to do, however, I'm not sure Pook makes sense. Although he is the one (token) that is missing, how would he be the one piece nary in the code?

Just my interpretation.

Gemini

Aye, just got home and looking at the 5x5 boxes on a few pages, i have noticed the faries were pointing to the boxes, but thought only of colors, trying to apply to the faries....now i should check out the a-z with "one we did not see" = letter Q, and try to apply that and see if that comes with anything....

GL Pancho and all that is trying it out...hope someone finds something...and hope fully willing to share :P

Gemini,

Yes, nary and the missing one could very well be the same. I guess we should try to interpret the poem as a whole and not line by line, or at least consider it by couplets (two rhyming lines).

Has anyone verified that the letter Q does not appear in the entire story, or did we just read that somewhere? Maybe I will reread it tonight to verify that and get back-at-chu in the morning.

Q

Gemini,

Oops! We are forgetting it says "on piece"--not "one piece"! How does that jive in the missing Q theory?

Gemini,
I am operating under the assumption of that original "neat little list", too, however, I am beginning to find clues on different pages that might not belong where they "should". In other words, maybe all of the spider's clues are not limited to just page 20 & 21 and maybe the bee is not limited to pages 37 & 88. This is an assumption that we have labored under since the beginning, but maybe it would be wise to re-think it. Nowhere has it been stated that just because we find the mates that we will find the clues there, too! I believe that when we stumble on the correct de-coding or de-ciphering methods, the precise directions will be clear to whichever token and I don't really think that it will matter to us AT ALL which token we have won as we will be DERLIRIOUSLY HAPPY that we have figured it out at all!

Hey, anybody read "The de Vinci Code"? Was there really a code broken?

Also, there is a bestselling children's book called "Chasing Vermeer," and the children use a code to solve that mystery as well. AND the author placed a code in the illustrations for readers to solve.

I have the latter on order, but the former--being an adult book (read loooooong)--is not on my schedule.

Re: zip codes

Sara ,

I'm finding pieces of zip codes in the illustrations and text. Mostly I get clues from the text and look up the zip codes for the area I'm thinking about. It's working out rather well so far. Just gut-hunches, nothing scientific.

and they will show you where to go? ?Cuold they be pointing in a direction to go? Or a direction to go in the book? ?Any Ideas?

An even code with one piece nary, could be the last 5x5 box without a fairy.

Poncho,

"Doctors inlet" definiately means something to me!? Thanks
I'd fill you in but I don't know how to send a private message.

It's a rodeo time here in Houston, so to celebrate . . . .It's the Creature Round-Up! ?YEEEEEE-HAW!!

In Chapter 1 we have a lonely ladybug.
Chapter 2 features a couple of spiders.
Chapter 3 has a caterpillar.
A dragonfly opens Chapter 4.
In Chapter 5 we have our first insect ho-down with the firefly and ladybug!
By Chapter 6 the lady bug has flown away home! ;)
Chapter 7 is the place to be with the bumblebee, caterpillar and hummingbird!
Ant is keeping things quiet in Chapter 8.
Chapter 10 has the butterfly twins!
Someone needs to help hummingbird all by herself with te Darklings in Chapter 11.
Something is puzzling the grasshopper in Chapter 12.
Beetle is having a block party in Chapter 13.
We slow things down in Chapter 14 with the snails.
Beetle is back in Chapter 15.
Chapter 16 has the other ant.
Chapter 18 has a bumblebee.

I think that covers all the bases. ?So Chapters 9, 17, 19 and 20 are creatureless.

And, this little bit of research has me thinking I am wrong on the whole, 'the creatures appear where their clues are hidden' theory. ?What do you think? ?Still plausible? ?Seems like Chapters 5 and 7 are chock full of information if that is the case! ?:o

Also, while flipping through the book. ?Has anyone ever noted the fact that 'The Dream' looks like all the other chapters, but doesn't have a number? ?Check out page 84. ?You'll see what I mean. ?Oh, and grasshopper is hopping in the Dream . . .

To all i wil no longer talk of these hidden creatures i have found. no im not digging hard they are there plain and simple. if we choose to say there can be nothing else to find in this hunt or no new clues to dig up then its over lets all stop posting new clues and looking at our books every minute were awake . lets start feeding our kids cereal and start cleaning our homes.i wou;d only like to say ms is very clever and it goes to shao that . in chapter 1 hes very visibly placed the ladybug where we could all see it . same chapter tool page hes hidden a spider in the art work. ask why. well the very reason is we all think the ladybug is in the 1st chapter . so no one wants the ladybug when we can find the spider.the big prize we know of so far is the spider. if this were my money i was giving away i would make it a little more harder for everyone. we all think the clues to the spider is on the web pg. id loved to tell what i found there . anyway come dec 2007 i only hope ms tells us all he has hidden in here so at least well all know if what we saw was important or not. i would really like to know is there an official verifier out there . everyones keeps saying verified . i want their email. i hope none take this rudely im not trying to be . just making my case for the official verifier if hes reading. anyone who is serios about my hidden creatures please email me if not ill not talk of it again.

was up guys again,

got somethings u guys might be able to make sense of that i can not

1: there are so many darn dandelions in the book all with there seeds blowing away in a different manner....
2: on page 19 the two plants in the corners each have dead leaves and the plant in the left corner the one leaf has the roman numers 2,2,3

and a question has anybody found any zipcodes that lead to any where in KY thanks

Pancho,

Gosh, you are a fast reader! I think the clues for a particular critter are located BETWEEN (and including) the pages on which the pair appear--forget the chapter theory. (It didn't work.)
