I hope you don't take this the wrong way Deepseeker but Christians are not second class citizen and the almighty doesn't expect us to be.
The Man upstairs believes in capital punishment, why else would he say "Send them to me and this will cease to happen amongst you."
Thou shall not murder. Murder is to lay and wait and he frowns on that. Kill to protect yourself and family is not frowned on
As a Christian brother please look into what is written so not to be mislead.

To carry or not to carry it's your choice. But being a Christian has nothing to do with it. Christian have the right to self defense too.

It is not about doctrine so to speak with me.

It is about what I feel, and what I have seen.

I'm a combat vet, Vietnam and Cambodia, and you danged right I fired my weapon, and used others.

I lost friends beside me, hurt people in front of me, covered in blood but just felt very cold afterwards. I was empty for a long time.

I chose this direction of my life much later in my life. I think it was getting the CCW and then realized just what I'd accepted in my life, and just do not want to go there again.

It's easy to talk about what one would do, if one had never experienced it before.

I'm not critical by any means. But I've found my peace, with hopefully a gentleness in my remaining years.

Yet we do protect those we love, and the innocents around us. I could easily be just as cold as I once was.
 

That punk saw an easy target with money. I'm willing to bet he a) is mentally ill b) has a long criminal record c) is an addict and d) his Mommy excused his behavior because of his mental illness.
 

Glad the guy is ok. I use headphones but try to stay vigilant. I've had a few hairy moments dealing with drunks from the night before at sunrise in ocean city Maryland. Also have had several times when hunting around home where a group of punks were speaking Spanish about messing with me. I don't know Spanish but was able to determine enough that something was going on. Made sure they noticed the point on my T-Rex scoop and worked away from them.

It's a shame there are so many people that just like to cause problems. Then when they are taken out by the police or someone else they pushed too far, you have to watch their family on the news saying what a good person they were. BS!
 

REMEMBER THIS....deism practiced here...but christian or buddist think well and hard about passing on "taking out" somebody. Think well and hard about the NEXT person your adversary will attack (and pretty good chance it will happen) and ponder the fact that you had a chance to stop that attack if you .......but didn't. Way to many people on this earth that we could do without. And as for "to hard to get a permit in this state for a concealed permit...stop...take a day off...and come to Oregon and take your permit home!!!!

Sadly that does not work for the State of California. It is not recognized here. If it were that simple half the state would do it and I would be first in line.

One thing to remember about mace or pepper spray. Some of it will come your way. So practice with it first. That way you will know what to expect.

I carry as well when detecting, in fact I carry 99.5% of the time, either my Springfield XDs .45 with hollow points or my Taurus Public Defender with alternating self defense loads (410 slug and twin 36 cal balls ) and .45 hollow points.

I also am a member of USCCA, platinum level, if your going to carry you better have a good insurance policy to protect you.

Now, Im older, fatter, slower, but I see things, I watch everybody within my AO. It moves, I see it/you. Carry? Yes. I cant get a concealed permit in this state NOW, but had one years ago. So open carry is my only option.

Now, I swing and MD by sound, so, Im always looking around, the asshat that hits me better be fast, cause Im to old to ****ing care, I better be dead, cause when I get up Im coming for vengence with a blood lust like no other.

All legal like.

I was thinking the Gold Plan is a million in coverage and the silver was a 1/2 million and the last plan is 250 thousand. Have a look at what each plan covers.
