Who needs toilet paper. I live in farm country. Corn cobs everywhere.

Never figured out how that works. My father-in-law used them and the Sears catalog growing up in Mendon Ohio.

I tried that corn cob thing and got severe burns. I guess I should have let it cool down after I took it off the grill.

my folks assisted living facility is quarantined. that is in Butler Co. Iowa. this just happened. One place I agree that needs to take much caution. (not theirs in particular, all nursing homes and places for the elderly) Wash. proved that
down here in the Brazos Valley... my wife went into town today ...6 stores later and no TP.
One daughter in Austin says she needs to go out of the city to hopefully find some...good luck I told her... the old Marine in me told her to improvise.
we'll get through this folks...this is the greatest country on the blue planet.

my neighboor is quaratined, because he had contact wit his son in law who just came home from service,,one important detail he is quaratined waiting for results from test..not because he has it, yesteday i was talking to him he said it will be 2 weeks before he knows oh maybe i should say we were yelling at each other about 300 feet away from him. just being safe
Oh Eldorado, I'm so sorry. We're hoping for the best for them(is the SIL quarantined, too?)
I thought they were speeding up the test, but I could understand there may be millions of test they're trying to get processed.
I heard on POTUS presser earlier, one of the cdc ppl said they have automated their testing process, where before it was being done by hand. Maybe he'll get results back sooner.
They're also saying, MOST ppl tested, just have a cold.
Bravowhiskey, sorry to hear this, too. Prayers for their safety...

Here's a thread MadMachinist just started in the health section.
There's some updated info he's been made aware of.
Check it out, print it for your neighbor, make a paper airplane & sail it over the fence.
Give MM some kudos & thanks for the info, too, pls.

http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/health-watch/629116-covid-19-info.html

Along with MM info, I'd tell you to tell your neighbor to do deep breathing exercises.
Get his lungs strengthened.

I've been sharing this video to help remind ppl, it's simple things we can do,
to strengthen and take care of ourselves.
It's only 4 min long.

GL everyone & stay strong!

I read in South Korea, 96% of all tests came back negative. Tests are only worth so much. Flu season is also starting to end. Allergy season is coming.

I met a guy in the grocery store today, he asked me when his two loafs of bread expired, i told him the 19th then i told him put it in the fridge and it will last you a few more days, then he walked off down the isle saying quite loud several times we are all doomed WTF. that stuck in my head for quite a wile LOL. Take care everybody and good luck in the field.

You can park in Wal Mart parking lots. At the far end, they let you be. I don't know about multiple nights, though. Good luck.

Thanks, Kray, I may need some luck. Since everyone has got their walking papers from the State Parks those Wally World lots have filled up fast. So has Cracker Barrel, Pilot J, Bass Pro, and assorted other lotdocking options. So far BLM hasn't locked the gates yet, will have to play wait and see.

That's a good thought & advice.
We may have citizens get kinda stuck, in-between trips, whatever.
I believe they'll let you stay in the truck stops & highway rest stops,
especially in situation like this.

If Ol Kentucky wants to let folks know, where abouts he may be at,
maybe others can offer better suggestions, or at least some
temporary sanctuary, help, provisions, whatnot...
We DO have, some of the best minds in the world, here!
What good are they, if we can't be of help or service?

I got some land on the Flint river in Ga. I'd tell ya you could park at,
but it's underwater right now, and no electric, septic, nothing.
Might not even be able to get an RV to it, if road washed out. idk....
I'm in S. Fl atm... There's the boat ramp on US 27, too. :dontknow:

Bless yer heart, Miss Pat, I appreciate the thoughts. I'm good for now, but I may take you up on yer offer and mount a couple of pontoons on her if it gets too bad. :laughing7: Seriously though, there's gonna be a lot of folks caught unprepared out here. They could sure use yer thoughts and prayers as well.

i don't understand the idiots where i live.

Bottled water sold out at walmart. BUT the primo brand bottled water in 5 gal jugs the rack is full and no one buying it.

I needed a gal of distilled water for my cpap and i had to go to 5 stores before i found two gal bottles on the shelf.

I bought both just in case.

Tp sold out but paper towels were still there.

I live out in the desert and am waiting for the temps to hit 100 degrees and the humidity to drop to 5 %.
That will kill most the Covid-19 in minutes in the air or on surfaces.

We never have flu cases in the summer.

They have canceled everything here... even the Grand Prix which is huge event here... they canceled the spectators and the race will go on after all drivers and crew are tested.

Disneyworld and on down... closing their doors.

Also... heard the Casino's have installed thermal devices / cameras on the entrances and if you have a temp of 100.4... you are asked to leave.
