Anyone care to hazard a guess on time required to recovery to the old normal? Say last Christmas -2019- as an example of old normal. Socially, economically etc.

If one has antibodies against a strain, does it prevent infection from a virus that mutates over and over again?

But I think that I heard Minor Mutations are OK

it's the Major Mutations that can change things.

Sure... but if we knew the real numbers... deaths, infected, recovered.. that would help. ALOT of doctors mention the skewed covid cases. Why would they lie?
because they love trump? Doctors work/live could care less about the political BS

I have no way to know for sure on the numbers, but I have to wonder if this is a test
to see how far they can take everyone. or if that is just the conspiracy nut in me .

anyway I just wonder how many are living with plastic over all their windows.
walking around their house alone with a mask on.
and washing their hands every 30 minutes.

but it's sad to me that I'm sure it's happening just by the way the fox
reporters keep telling everyone to keep washing their hands,
when they know 90% or more of the population is sitting at home
and those they are telling are sitting there in front of the tv

You may not pick up the coronavirus sequestered in your home but then again you might. Most people are still getting mail. Other than preppers, everyone is bringing food into their house in some fashion. It's difficult to cut yourself off completely with no outside contact.

My wife is staying home but I go to work every day, bringing God knows what in with me.

You can also pick up lots of nasty bacteria from counter tops, phones, TV remotes, etc... Keeping your hands clean is always a good idea and generally good advice with or without a covid-19 outbreak.

P.S.

I don't know how I feel about your comment regarding pushing us to see just how far they can. It definitely reeks of conspiracy and may be crossing the line regarding the discussion of politics in this thread. But I think it might also be the truth.

until today, he backpedaled to, masks are not mandatory, b/c
of the feed back, that masks are offensive to some. hoping the

Ok to put a point on my point (since you keep pointing to this same data)...for California...since this started, there have been a cumulative total of 46,032 confirmed cases. This is over what 2-1/2 months?

According to the state statistics there are still 40,833 active cases!!!

So in 2-1/2 months only 5,199 people have recovered. Are we supposed to believe that this is an accurate statistic?
How are we supposed to make informed decisions on reopening if we do not know how many of the confirmed cases are active and what the current case load is of hospitalizations? Don’t you see a problem with this, or do you think those statistics seem reasonably believable?

Do you know how many active cases in your state are currently requiring hospital treatment?

This bothers me that this data is apparently not being tracked or at least released to the public.

Edit: The current number of hospitalizations appears to be available. In California. It’s 3,455 (9/1000th of 1 percent of the population).
