I live in south east michigan( Oakland county) and am looking to finally get some use out of my pans. And advice on a place to start would be much appreciated or even if someone wants to head out with to show me the ropes. Thanks again in advance.

From my understanding we can't hit anything that's a trout stream. I've messed around at proud lake but not much more than that. I can understand the no trout stream since I fly fish while I'm out as well but seems like the spots that look best are trout streams.
