First off thanks captain silver for offering to have look but I think I am ok the former owner just had it serviced and emailed the receipt. I plan to hit the milford beaches soon.now trying to decide what shaft to buy made a temporary one from a fiberglass handle and a few things laying around my garage .no wonder everyone hates the stock one horrible .going to see a friend in Westport tomorrow we might hit the beach for a quick spin he has never detected hope he likes it letting him try my duel field

Give Plugger Rods a call, he makes all kinds of great shafts for the Excal, carbon fiber or aluminum. I got his travel carbon shaft and it is sweet. Strong enough for every day use but breaks down for carry on luggage. Can behind elbow mount pod or under forearm mount pod. He'll make you a set up to your specs if desired.

I've a Plugger shaft on my Excal. I can swing that baby all day long! Stock shaft? NOT!!!

I too have the 3 pc. CF shaft from plugger and wouldn't be without it.

Just FYI, no repairs have been done in Lisle IL center since Spring of 2015 when the techs retired.
