Using the "T" coil function in hearing aids to listen to detector audio

Has anyone tried to use the "T" coil function fitted in hearing aids as a direct audio connection to a metal detector via an inductive loop connected to the detectors audio output. Doing away with the need to use either headphones or speakers. This would theoretically remove the feedback problem many people who wear hearing aids have. Wearing a personal inductive neckloop would be so much easier than having to continually compromise the sound and volume to stop feedback induced from headphones and lack of the full spectrum of sound heard from speakers.

Nokta FoRs Gold, a Gold Cube, 2 Keene Sluices and Lord only knows how many pans....not to mention a load of other gear my wife still doesn't know about!

Rather than bother with any of that, I bought a Nokta FoRs detector.

Has a superb vibration system built right into the grip, and target ID
right above your hand.

I have very limited hearing in one ear, 0 function in the other, but accompanied
by roaring, dueling tinnitus from both ears 24/7. The idea of donning an aid or
headphones to dump more beeps, squawks and boings into my skull makes me sick
just thinking about it.

With the Nokta FoRs, I'm back to chasing nuggets again..:occasion14:
