I'll be bringing my 2 detectors (one water, one land).

I had a "little" hiccup in my plans but am still planning on being there starting the 15th and staying through whenever.

Cyber, because of this hiccup (and thanks to my lawyer), I am going to reserve a cabin. Sorry, it would have been great sharing each other's snoring....LOL

Joe, will be good to meet you. I live in Kerrville, about 56 miles northwest of San Antonio.

And WSD, don't tell me this is going to be your last group hunt. Oh....wait a minute.....I see your plan. You cozy up to all of those young ladies in Caldwell, KS....telling them you need some tender loving care...................and you then go for the gusto!!!!!!.......their garters! Got my reservations made today. Cabin #10; then turned around & stuck Nana in #10A.

If you have not made your reservations yet, wait till after Labor Day weekend, they're quite busy with folks checking in.

Also to print out the liability form and bring with you. I'll have some blanks in case you forget, plus the landowner's liability forms...all of these will be signed once you arrive.

I drive through Uvalde frequently and know the area fairly well. Uvalde is a great town but there is a large law enforcement presence for a reason. If you have a concealed carry permit then bring it with you. Uvalde is very "snakey" and you should plan for that, even in October. Lots of wild javalinas too.

Lots of Confederate camps located in Uvalde and the surrounding area. If I can get away from work I plan on going.

.......HELLO EVERYONE......I just registered and plan on attending on Oct. 16th.......Sorry but I do not know the majority that are going to this hunt.....although I do know Baggins and Texas Connection....I met them last year ......about 20 miles south of San Antonio....we were all involved in one of the searches for the Lost Battlefield of Medina........that Battlesite at least for the time being is still lost.......but i like these types of outings........I live about 35 miles northeast of Houston so I am a lot closer to the Uvalde site that most........I have been treasure hunting using a detector since 1970....been bottle hunting even longer than that.......looking forward to meeting everyone...............Thanks ....Joe

Has anyone looked at the river cam today? A bunch of people in the water...you know they're losing things. Hope someone has a water detecting machine...Bobby, Jim??

Both the detector's I'm bringing will work in the water. I might bring my "river bucket" too.
