nachos dig cost 200 a day backhoe all you can go thru in 8 hours on a screen.i do believe he is still at chaulk bluff just right past uvalde on the way to campwood.anyplace along the river in campwood area as long as you do cross no fences.i hunt arrowheads mostly in rockport texas on the beach its free.most in this frame are from my area.feel free to visit me in rockport i'll show you where i find them.call me to make sure i'm home as i work alot out of town

I believe each cabin has a pit...yep, we'll plan a cookout...marshmallow roast too. Who's the chef? Bobby?

All cabins have baths, full kitchens with coffeepot, microwave, basic cookware and utensils, cable TV, air conditioning, BBQ and picnic tables. They will be furnishing bed linens & towels just for us. Bring extra towels, blankets if you think you may need them.

Neal's Grocery Store is open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily during the summer season, and stays open all year. The store is stocked with a wide variety of goods, including groceries, picnic supplies, charcoal, firewood, swim gear, toys, t-shirts, caps, bait and tackle and souvenirs. Steaks, bacon, eggs, luncheon meats, cheese, bread, milk, coffee, etc. I believe there is another store in Concan, but you have a Walmart in Uvalde.

Ok,the 20th is the only day we can hunt at the missionary/school place because the owner has hunters scheduled all other days.So it looks like Manza's on saturday and sunday,5 Oaks monday and tuesday,missionary school on wednesday and I'm trying to get hold of 5 Oaks to see if we can come back for the remainder of the week (make sure we behave ourselves).I'll let you know.Of course there is the two acres of Manza's in Concan on the Frio to consider also but I think we will be able to return to 5 Oaks for a day or two.And the campground.I understand that Roger,Maryanna's husband,has some land alsoI'll check it out.

Here is a little info on the third place we will hunt;



Hi Ed! The photographer called late Friday and here is a bit of information on the ranch.

There is 400 acres but your group would only be able to hunt on about 40-50 acres. He will give a history of the place to the group. The Nueces River runs about 1/4 mile on one end but has a solid rock riverbed. There is a family graveyard with 2 graves from the 1870's. There is also a cabin which was built in 1847 and somewhere a shootout took place between Captain Jack Hays and the Texas Rangers against the indians.

The 5 Oaks Ranch is located on Hwy 55, 35 miles from Uvalde and 4 miles North of Montell. The ranch is on both sides of the highway however, your group will be hunting on the East side of the Hwy. The official address is

YA BABY i kinda know the area this is arrowhead central.to bad only 45-50 acres i'm not complaining.i know someone will find artifacts guarenteed.many of these were found not far from there.

i've seen some nice flint from your area,just not as much.there is a crew fromLA on this rig one of the guys finds arrowheads in La also.maybe i'll bring some shell tools and artifacts from the coast and give them to anybody who would like them.i didnt ev3en know some were toold hair pins ect until about 3years ago and seen them in a book of shell and bone artifacts.i was like i better go and them up.lol.do you find shell artifacts?

Just an idea - When we hunt 5 Oaks the shortest route is through Camp Wood.There is a cafe there that serves breakfast/lunch/supper.Camp Wood is close to the 5 Oaks ranch.It's about 40 mi from where we will be staying,I think.The cafe seats 70,so plenty of room if you can drive that far before you eat breakfast but it would also be a place to take a break from the Ranch for lunch.
