I'm very happy to say I found my first VT copper today on a colonial NJ cattle farm. I found some other great goodies. Heat index was about 100 but still not as bad as its been...

The reverse is shot, but I got an positive ID on a couple letters, eliminating the CT copper possibility.

Maybe it can't be seen in a photo, but I can faintly make out a "7". So any raised date SLQ makes it a 1917.

Yep, I know the pain of summer growth as well. I don't do too many fields, but the grown around this site and the rest of mine allows me about 15% coverage. Dare I say I wish it were fall? Lol

That heart heel plate is pretty cool. I found one Norfolk g ago with the tack still there. It must have been popular amongst little girls

Quite the assortment of finds- great work! Love the SLQ!
