Three weeks ago I went detecting to the south with my friend Digger6565 and we each found a Virgin Mary Medallion. Both medallions were exactly the same. Yesterday we went north up to Coco Beach and Melbourne. I found two more of the exact same medallions that we found three weeks ago. I have several questions.

1. What are the odds of me finding these?
2. Has anyone else found these on the beach? I mean the exact one.
3. These retail for 60 dollars each. Could someone be throwing them on the beach for some reason?

Thanks for looking and thanks for your responses. I find it very strange.

As a Italian male from a much more Italian family I'm only surprised you didn't find golden horns and saint medals attached to a goldchain covered in chest hair along with those....
