Want to try Dowsing?

Hi peeps, you are giving me ganas to get back into dowsing, I used a single rod consisting of a telescoping radio ant fastened to a ball bearing set in an 'aluminim handle, it is extremely sesitive to any movement, note Okie Dowser, Red Desert etc.

I used it to impress the lonely ranchers and Indians down here with almost total success.

I once asked my wife to hide my wedding ring in the kitchen, with me outside. i was successfull 9 times useing the single rod both in elevation and azimith, the tenth time I just was too erratic, pointing everywhere in the room,so I finally admitted defeat to my wife, whereupon she smiled and asked me " do you mean this " reaching into her pocket --- I had been following her around the room while she was cooking sheesh.

I would first sweep to establish az, then a second sweep to establish the vertical As I swept the tip would actually hang up and hold while I continued the sweep. Where it first hung up was my point..I know that I was handing it up.

I have made and tried all kinds of rods. I always go back to my 3/32 brass. I think I like the weight and the fact that I can put an x on the ground with them. When I first started to learn how to Dowse I had used the rods for many years with the old rod type LRL’s. I made sure that if I could not learn to dowse I had not screwed up that tool. That is how I developed my methods.

A lot of people claim that the rods close because of Ideomotor Response (movement of the wrists and hands). Make this simple frame and see if you can make the rods close when not on a signal line...Art

Have you tried this yourself? What was your result?

What I do is hold one rod with my elbow on the center console. I go down the road at the speed limit. When the rod makes a quick move to either side I slow down and turn around and go back the other way. When the rods swings again I park and get out. When the rods find a signal I either follow it or take a gps reading. If I take 3 of them about 50 foot apart on the signal line I can put it in my lap top. I can then look for access roads along the line. It takes a lot of time to learn what the quick pull is at speed.
I have tried everything that people have told me or I have read. If I can use the information or if it does not work for me I keep it in my memory as some day it may be some what I need

I'm perplexed about how this could work since there is gold in your engine compartment.

For me it was easy. At that time there was a million dollars in gold at the Nugget Casino in Carson City. I could pick that signal up any place in that valley. I would drive and when I received a signal I would take GPS readings and put them on a map...Art

NEVER give up. Dowsing works. Mel Fisher used dowser to locate the Atocha treasure. "Today is the day!" HH.

Map Dowsing is another skill you should learn. Try to locate a pop can a few mile away is a good place to start. I got this from another web years ago.

May I, can I, should I, ESTABLISH, CHANGE OR ADD Dowsing Conditions and Agreements or Programs which will be continually in effect until changed by me. Thank You for allowing me to Dowse this map.

Covering the overall primary controls, limits, agreements and dowsing responses.

Dowsing Communications to be inter- cooperative and restricted to: the Overall Universal Superconscious,　 my Superconscious, my Higher Self and their approved Spirit Guides/Guardian Angels, and others of their choice, my Mind Systems, my Subconscious and its related systems. No problem. From beer cans I went to schools and parks. I would get a city that I had never been to. I would dowse the map and then get a close up of the town. I now dowse the computer screen. No printing cost...Art

What convinced me was a guy in SaltLake City gave me his address. I worked on the map and sent it to him. He sent me 5 maps to do as I had marked a house accrossed the street from him. I have been a little less than 300 foot on one of my personal maps. Most of them have been real close. The rods will locate them.....Art

Some people do it that way. I should have said that if it is on my map it is my find. I did have a two box to check deep signals but now I only dig ones that are less than 2 foot deep...Art

Well, I've read the first nine pages of this post. Seventeen more to go. Haven't tried dowsing in a long time. Became discouraged with posts years ago from the Nay-Sayers. Never have made a recovery 'in the field'. I have had fair success in the past with having someone conceal a bag of silver coins and then obtaining a 'rod response' to the target and locating it. I purchased an Anderson Precision Master Rod back in the 1980s. It seemed to work best for me in the Y-rod configuration. Not so well in the L-rod or pendulum configuration. Baited, of course. I constructed a set of L-rods pretty much as you described with brass rod and copper tubing, with plastic bushings. Ran into 'mental blocks' the Nay-Sayers were all touting at the time (20 years ago) and just stopped trying. The brass & copper rods have since disappeared. Still have the Anderson. Think I'll continue reading the remaining posts, and may construct another set of L-rods. I KNOW where I reside HAS to contain hidden specie, and probably quite a bit. History indicates so... I read a lot of early day local accounts of events, area was settled in the 1730s. Have had Spanish incursions, Revolutionary War, antebellum days, Civil War, timber industry, graft and corruption. First couple of hundred years, no banking intuitions, so folks would have concealed their valuables on their property. Makes me want to try again.
