Want to try Dowsing?

The way I do that is to wait for the rods to cross the first time. I then start sliding my feet backward and both rods will swing to the target and lock onto it. I only do this when I am running out of time. daylight, rain etc. When I drop one rod to my side I do not get a hard lock on the target.Art

Metal coat hangers are becoming very rare. Hang onto what you have as soon they wil be a collector item
True! Also they're / were the best welding rod ever. Built a burro and used a few boxes of coat hangers for the welds Never broke a weld! The other guys with custom built dune buggy frames were constantly breaking shock mounts etc. Put an ad up on Craigs list for them. No one seems to want them, say they leave rust stains on clothes. Excellent for building antennas!

I found two good places. They are made of cheaper metal but still work. Both were cleaners. They gave me 20 of them so I will not run out again..Art

I have two movies here. #02 and #03...03 is made with 17 inch coat hangers and shows how length can make you way off. My hands will no longer close enough to hold the rods right

Art, can you post the video's? would love to take a look. When you have time .

Red Desert, what did you replace your rods with----------------I'm guessing a pendulum.
Also why did you stop using rods?

I was talking about coat hanger rods specifically. My rods now are bronze and some have copper wire coiled on the bottom ends.

Prototypes were made using hanger rods, then certains styles preffered for making bronze or brass rods. A couple prototypes never were made into bronze rods, but work quite well.

Thanks Red_desert, I still use my regular L, copper rods. I may experiment some by making a pair of new ones.
