I cant believe my luck ! I just got my new headphones this morning but the rain was coming down hard >:( FINALLY it let up for a bit so I headed to the orchard. Swinging along and digging trash......... I thought for sure that this signal was some more junk. Not very deep, so I was not very carefull. BAM !! Belt plate was in my hand and I was doing the happy dance!
I managed to hit it with my shovel but.......... oh well, I have a freekin' belt plate :headbang:

Here are some pics, only dry cleaned so far.

That's a great find!

Nicest one I've seen on here :icon_thumleft:

Here is the Indian Head Cent from yesterday too. Looks like 1873 ! I am happy that it cleaned up as well as it did.

Super congrats on one very nice relic find, also on making banner, but the plate itself is one of the more beautiful designed plates to find so kudos!!!

Hey Packrat........That is a sweet plate, it proves that stuff is still out there intact. Great find, I found part of one a month ago. Plan on going back to the site soon, its in the hard woods so don;t have to worry about the grass growing.......WTG
