LOL! Like YOU! I have ALREADY "POSTED"... the Hutters-Ward "connection"; They were COUSINS (JB Risque was their GRAND-FATHER); FC Hutter was CSA PAY-MASTER & his BROTHER, ES Hutter saved the SECRET book of the Rebel Gov't... Vattel's LAW OF NATIONS, from burning in Danville, Va. (was ordered to burn it by higher authorities). ES Hutter (CSA) told his brother, FC Hutter (CSA PAY-MASTER) about saving VLoN, which MAY have been the CODE BOOK for BC#1 & 3; NOT sure if it was in ENGLISH or FRENCH! VLoN was inherited by Attorney H. M. Gibbs (ES Hutter descendant). THIS info comes from the RAGLAND PAPERS in 2004; SAME year that Peter Viemeister released his last book on the BEALE TREASURE... CONFEDERATE TREASURE COVER-UP: Duty, Honor, & Deceit. Released as a novel... it is really, FACTION; FICTION BASED ON FACTS. I am re-reading it now; figuring who is who. Confederate Treasure Coverup "Rugerman" is really RAGLAND.

"Google" Descendants of John Langhorne, 1640; look at # 115. "Newspaper in RAGLAND possession (2004)"... the VLoN inherited by Attorney H. M. Gibbs was owned by Judah P. Benjamin... MORE, later!

"Google" THE BEALE TREASURE STORY; FC Hutter was author of "BP", as I have heard/read MANY places. HH!
ANY questions... take it up with the owner of THAT web-site; have NOT read his book.

Looking at the Ragland family tree, the name HUTTER apperars many times as a middle name.
Coincidence?

It is known that Girard had agents in the area to procure Appalachian ginseng for his China opium trade, but what were the specific business activities of the Bonapartes,Lallamands,Lafittes, and Patterson that had direct connection to Bedford county?

Enough of it (discretionary) has already been posted here, both recently and in the past, not much sense in continually reposting the same stuff over and over again.

Yes,but most of the information is speculation based on circumstantial evidence.Where is the hard connection to the Beale story and treasure?

Link should work now.
A lot of Activity in Dannville in April,1865.
Davis & cabinet & "treasure train",Benjamin gives Hutter Vattel's,story of 40 buried kegs of Mexican silver dollars at Green Hill Cemetary in a soldiers grave,VMI alumni on a "secret mission",and evidence of a "talking tree".
A whole lot of coincidence to reckon with!

ECS:

Are you familiar with William C. Davis' book
An Honorable Defeat: The Last Days of the Confederate Government (2001)? It has quite a bit of interesting information on the "Treasure Train." As I recall (and it's been a few years since I read it) Mr. Davis provides some useful references for further research, as well.

He tells a wonderful story about Jefferson Davis' Cabinet spending a few minutes with some children playing marbles as they fled away from the Union Army. It's quite a poignant picture.

Good luck to all,

Wrong! Find "Mr. Sherman"....the right Mr. Sherman. He's practically been handed to you here already.
