John, just got back from a week of camping and prospecting in that area last Sunday. I camped at Wild Plum Campground on the edge of Sierra City. The water flow is good in all rivers and creeks in the area. We fished at the Helipad area just downstream from downieville and checked out the GPAA claim on the Downie River. Again, plenty of water. We recovered a little bit of gold. Mostly flakes of -50's and a couple of chunkier pieces at +50's. Classified to 1/2" but probably could havegone down to 1/4".
