I usually soak my coppers in Olive Oil, and have never had a problem with it. I know a lot of you use Wax on your Coppers. What type / brand do you use ? I'd like to give it a try on a Large Cent Love Token / Counter stamped on the reverse, that I just found yesterday, as the result of locating 3 pitching horseshoes for the home owner. Thanks for your help, Ron

I used to use olive oil but now I use a soft toothbrush, bamboo toothpicks, and Andre's Pencils. I also use the wax you are asking about. It is a microcrystalline wax invented by the British museum. Works great.
