Hoping for a larger critter but still like this short tailed weasel.

Very nice! I saw one here on the east coast last week while I was out detecting. First one in a long time. The mustelids are a very interesting group of animals.

You are getting beautiful photos of an amazing variety of critters. Are these all from the same hollow log set up?
I hope you are putting together a slide show for us.

Weasels are cool little critters...:occasion14:

That is pretty cool, I live in the stix in western Pennsylvania, never saw a weasel but I did trap a few mink when I was younger. What were you hoping to catch on the trail cam,a bear?

A weasel is about half the size of a female mink, and has the attitude of a wolverine,
which happens to be a relative.

Thank you, I was hoping for a Marten, they’re about the size of a mink in the weasel family with longer fur. In this area there are bears, bobcats, and mountain lions. Also fishers and even the possibility of a wolverine. I usually don't like it when a bear shows up because they frequently wreak havoc with equipment.

My neighbor shot a fisher a year ago, brought it home and showed me, that thing was freaking huge..
