Weekend penny results 6/9/12-6/12/12

Went through 2 brinks boxes of pennies this weekend and found some good items. First off I go through 4 boxes a week for the last couple years. These 2 boxes produced alot of 2012D pennies. A first for the year so far. I have only found 1 2012d Nickel and I go through 2-4 boxes a week of those too. Back to the pennies. Found a lot of Wheaties this time around. 47. with the oldest being 1918. Found lots of 1959 - 1981 that were like new. Never found so many in one box let alone 2. found 53 total. Canadian coins I am having a blast with. I find a dozen or more on average per box and have filled my coin book from 1955 to 2011. still need the 2012. oldest canadian is 1940. These 2 boxes produced 18 canadians with a 1953 No Shoulder Fold. . Here are some pics..HH

wow nice finds, I love searching pennies... I just can't believe you have not come across a 2012 shield cent yet, i've gotten a few near-solid boxes this year.
Hope you get more from this batch, I know I would be hitting pennies real hard if I got results like you did!

He/she said his boxes had a lot of them. He/she didn't find a 2012 CANADIAN cent yet.

My oldest penny is an 1858 flying eagle penny. Found it in a brinks box last year. Then my next oldest is an 1870 Indian head and got that one in change. It's also a key date one.

Also. I have found the 2012D shield penny but not the 2012 plain shield nor the 2012 Canadian penny. Like I said these last 2 boxes of pennies produced my first 2012 coins for the year. I will be picking up 2 boxes of pennies nickels and dimes today for the weekend. HH!
