Detector(s) used
Equinox 800 SE and DFX
Went and hit a field by a church....found two sweet spots, also three coin spills helped, one was 8 quarters. I have been getting out just about every morning now and I was a little frustrated with the Se not picking up as much clad as the dfx.... Well today the Se went on a run.... I had about .80 after my first hour and thought about going to the bullpen and getting the dfx...never made it to car for dfx...had to go to lunch... So will get dfx out for part of next hunt..damn that 20 hour battery I just got already needs a charge! :D Over $6 in clad...no problems at all pinpointing today...but not as many pulltabs or bottletops by the church.... Had a tough hunt yesterday..so this was nice even though nothing was old...

I thought it was a bottlecap when it came out of ground... It is a K-Swiss metal token..I know they sell gym shoes..maybe was part of a tag on shoes? ???

Ha ha...you know I will put it to good use...and once again thanks for the great deal and perfect transaction...oh did my check clear??? :alien: I think my account could handle it...unless you added a few zeros.... :icon_jokercolor:

Good shooting!

I like the solenoid. Bet that sounded great!

I found an old windshield wiper motor (Jeep?) and it made all kinds of beep with those copper windings.

Yes it is battery money for the 20 hour rechargeable Minelab pack I just bought from Goldenroyboy! It will pay for itself...the Minelab stuff takes alot longer to work off than the Whites accessories.... :-X

Crazy sounds and I figure something to use in tests with my little experiments! It was right near/on surface.

Gregg,

I see that you are doing good with Se, but WHY do you bring your DFX along on the hunts? You already know what that machine can do. Seriously, if you want to learn Se some more, keep sweeping that! Forget about the DFX for now until you learn Se fully! The DFX is hindering your mastering of Se! :P :D

Keep the passion high!

Gregg...the main reason you won't find as much clad with the SE is because you should be swinging about 25% of the speed you do with the DFX....so you are covering only a small percentage of the ground as with the dfx. When I use my xl pro...I can fly...but the SE is a completely different animal. The more you "creep"...the more deepies you will find...but you definately cover much less ground.

What I enjoy doing is getting the equipment to pay for itself. I know the dfx well enough that I can hit any area and bring home a nice amount of clad. Today I stopped on way home from work and the dfx quickly pulled $4 in clads. Also I agree with what you said, it might be best to use just one detector...but I really enjoy the difference...and I have a long way to go to master the se.

Yes...Bryce I see, I really got lucky with the clad amount yesterday with the Se...nothing old but eight quarters in one hole was my best coin spill up to now this year. And I still like the speed of the dfx...but again you are right...two different animals...two different speeds.... I find with the Se it seems a good idea to check any signal twice...which is easily done going at a slow pace....man I saw your finds for just a couple times out...it is amazing the silver and wheaties you can pull...Gregg.

Hey Buddy Gregg!
I do apologize for getting back, to answer your question regarding the check clearing!
I haven't a clue but I bet that $65,000 bugger is already spent! :)
