What are the Alabama detecting laws?

What is off limits? I can't find much information. I just bought my first detector and I don't want to go where it's not allowed.

You can generally assume around here that public parks are ok. There are some exeptions of course. I've also never had problems with public schools (just go in non-school hours). I asked at one in particular (East Clinton in Huntsville) and was given permission.
If in doubt, its pretty easy to ask someone. I was in Cullman at Sportsman's Park last week and asked at the store there. Took about a minute for the lady working there to call the park manager and it was cool.
I've detected in Scottsboro once. You might also try Gurley. The elementary school there has revealed a few wheaties for me, so there might be some silver lurking.

STATE LAWS:
NO STATE PARKS NATIONAL PARKS
ALWAYS CHECK WITH THE RANGER STATION TO MAKE SURE....

LOCAL LAWS:
CITY PARKS WITHOUT( NO METAL DETECTING) SIGNS ARE FINE
MOST CURBS ARE CITY PROPERTY AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
MOST CITY PROPERTY IS OFF LIMITS BUT DO CHECK WITH THE CITY BUILDING DEPT. THEY MAY HAVE
SOME HOUSE LOTS THAT ARE TO BE TORN DOWN, THIS HAS WORKED FOR ME IN THE PAST.
ALWAYS REMEMBER THE " CODE OF ETHICS" BE RESPONSIBLE WITH YOUR HOLES......
