What are these little Gems??

Hi l found these at my local beach in the rocks . Would anybody have any idea what they might be? RAre they Ruby’s or Garnets maybe?

To post a pic you have to go to the "Go Advanced" on the lower right. Then "Manage attachments" where you can upload a pic from your PC. Once it's uploaded you can insert it anywhere in your dialog you want. The pic won't show, just the link to it. People can click on the link, and see the pic.
