for the unknown future.

I dont have much anyways. :notworthy:

I'm selling my 40% and foreign silver; the price might fluctuate around, or jump up or down a bit over the next year or two, but it's not going to stay overpriced like this forever. If it gets above $40 an ounce again, I'll unload all my 90% silver too, aside from my Mercury dimes and such that I actually collect.

It's not like I find all that much anyway; it's not like finding one or two silver halves a month is going to pay for a house or anything.

In the short term, I'd like to exchange some of my finds for better collectable coins.

For example:

The Gothic Crown

Please stop posting the Gothic Crown. You and Captainfwiffo are going to cost me some serious money. Each time I see it, I'm leaning closer and closer to buying one.

I don't plan to sell any of my silver anytime soon, but knowing I have it gives me some room to spend money on things I might not otherwise. My immediate goal is to get a metal detector. Been looking at the Whites VX3, but hard to spend $1k on something that's really a "toy".

I kinda wish I hadn't my MXT Pro, just becuase I dont always have time to take it out.

All of my 40%ers go to paying off my credit cards. Silver is appreciating fast, but I don't know if it will be consistently higher than the 15% interest on my cards. I keep my Franklins and WLH, but 90% Kennedy's get sold or I trade them in for gold or ASE's.
I also paid for an engagement ring with some of my silver from the last 6 months... Let's hope she says yes!

Good luck! I am considering doing this for my girl as well. :laughing9:

Lmao. I want one too now.

Well, there is always the petition crown, although it is about 10x more than the Gothic Crown

^That site has a lot of more interesting/beautiful coins and such that I'd love to have.

I could use a high-grade, toned, proof 3-cent silver.

That things beautiful! Good Luck! :tongue3: :headbang:

Sadly, a bit lacking in the six grand of free cash department... I am presented with a similar problem for this dime up for sale on Heritage right now. It may be the finest 1923-S extant.

Beautiful coins! I'm saving for retirement, or to pass on, which ever comes first!

I'm just keeping them in a box. I have more money than I'll probably ever need, so I'm not into CRH for the dough.

I might upgrade the 40% to 90% or just buy some really nice MS63+ coins with my stash if I ever get tired of it.

Announcement! I am now accepting donations of 40%'ers and 90%'ers. :help: :tongue3:

HH!

i sold $3500 worth when it was $43 just to prove to my wife that it wasn't some wild goose chase I was running.

I don't plan to sell now until it hits 45-50 again then I might consider dropping off 500 FV at the refiner, but only if theres something I need and don't have the cash for, otherwise I guess its just going to collect dust :-)

Nice timing! :icon_thumleft:

I've been hunting long enough..if I hadn't sold so many times. I probably could have bought T-net from Marc!

Medical School, I am going to try and make it as long as I can without taking out any loans. :)

I am saving for a 1 oz gold buffalo coin!

I am saving to allow myself to invest more into CRH. The first few thousand I sell will then allow me to get more boxes/order and hopefully will pay off in the long run so I can really get something with my finds... But for now I am saving up to be just like CARDS!
