• Here is an example.I have 3==Batterys from a kids power wheels. They are what is listed below.
 • 12 volt, 4.5 AH/20 hours////////Enduring-CB4.5-12
 • So my battery will run for 20 hours if it only uses 4.5 amps an hour.
 • Below is how to figure your battery needs.
 • These batterys are like $12 to $15 dollars at Amazon,Walmart, ect.
 • ( Ah) = Device's Wattage-----
 • (W) x Time to run ( Hours)=battery AH(amp hours).
 • For example, if using a 12V battery pack, and run 10W DC device for 10 hours, you need choose a battery pack with capacity > 8.3Ah, Here is the formula.( 10x10)/12 = 8.3
Hope this helps.Find out what your motor uses in an hour. How many watts. If it says amp hours, or AH,it is already done for you.

As in my battery above,my own,if I where to use 9 amps an hour,or 9AH,mine would last only 10 hours, and not 20. Because I have doubled my AH,so the time goes down by half.

thanks for that info. I will have to read thru it a few times to fully get it but i will understand i'm sure. I do realize to run it down only 50%..... that's why i asked the question here and your formula will put some logic to it.
I have to re-check my Keene 12v motor but i believe it's 10 watts to run it...... I sure like the price of that battery as i googled it :)

If your motor draws 10 watts,my formula above just described the battery you need.
8.3AH. 10 hours at 10 watts.
But my batterys are only 4inches high,3.5 inches wide, and 3 inches thick.
3 of them will fit in a kids metal lunch box with ease.
And light, 3.5 lbs each.
Plus, mine have the spade clipos so I can make up my own ends.
I went to solar school 2 summers ago,but I am going to build a couple of my own little solar panels,or by a couple small ones from ebay just to keep my small battery charging while I am working if needed..

I have a 50 watt Kyrocera panel with regulator and just for the heck of it i tried to run the drywasher in direct arizona sunlight and got nothing..... but then that panel only puts out about 4 amps. It didn't even try to turn LOL.
you been a lot of help and those kids batteries will work and i can always add the solar panel to get more time out of it.
I found your battery in Amazon and also ran across this 10Ah AGM battery for $23 which might even be better.... do you see any negatives on this battery?

That battery would equal 2 of my little ones side by side.
Same exact size and weight, just 3 inches longer than 1 of mine.
That would be perfect if your amps on the motor are right.
If not, your battery will just not run as long if the amps where higher.
But the panel would make up for it.
Plus, when you do your clean out the battery will be charging with no load on it. Every 2-3----- 5 gallon buckets.
That panel wont turn that motor by itself.
It needs the battery for power, then the panel to keep the charge.

I had to go by a house today to check on some water leaks, damage to walls ect.I have my own buisness as a home remodeler.
Anyway, across the street, and down 2 houses, I see a go-ped.The ones with a gas engine.
Next to it,i see what looks like scooter wheels.
So I walk down and knock on the door and ask if they are throwing them out.
They said yes, and I could have them.

Go-ped only needs a tank,but runs perfect.
The scooter is a 24volt Razor,childrens scooter.
Has 2--12 volt,8-12ah battery's connected in series to make 24volts. A piece.
These are the ones that are 6-7 inches long,3 inchs wide, and 3.5 to 4 inches tall.
Said they lost or broke the charger,so they are throwing it out.
My suggestion is to drive around town and look at peoples yard sales, and what they throw out.

That's a great story.....I'm a "Jack of all trades" Person and i ride around all the time on bulk trash day and once got a perfectly good riding mower that the keyway broke on the shaft..... .25 cents later i had a great craftsmen riding mower. and the list goes on. when my daughter was around 16 years old she would duck under the seat so none of her friends would see her. then i beep the horn LOL
great find on those batteries. I used to live in Pinal county in Gold Canyon.....If your ever around New River when the weather cools i'll take you on a few of the GPAA Abbey Claims if you want which are very close to me

Sounds great to me.
I would go to your place just get out of here regardless of the weather.
Just 2 days before we got the rain this week i spent from 5:30 in the morning until 3 pm on a roof finishing a solar install, and hooking the cooler back up.
I got to get away from this work more often. This sucks.
Need some fun time in with my wife, and the desert.

Been in Gold canyon a few times.
I see you have a fisher gold bug2.That is my next detector.
I just have the Garrett groundhog right now. Picked one up at a yard sale in mint condition for $10.
Just bought anew 10.5 inch coil for it this week.So i have a 7 inch,and 10.5 now.
Have you been prospecting much?
There is a place i want to find around carefree highway.

I will have to call you,or we can go out sometime.
A person found a spot where no one has been around.
They had one piece of white quartz, with gold colored metal on the side.
This is jewelry ore,or picture ore if it is gold, and not pyrite.
They had lots of other specimens with iron, reds, browns, ect.
Lots of it.
Trying to get hold of them.
The whole piece was pure white quartz, about the size of a ping pong ball.
Cant post here.
Send me PM with phone number.
I also have the gold placer book of Az.
Has places listed in cave creek area.

Same color quartz, and looks similar in rock composition.
But there's was pure white, with only gold color on it.
I mean pure white like a snowball.
Cant give out much more info without possibly exposing the spot.
Will call you some time so you can start looking.

Must be the same area. Or about
They said there where no claims,or anything.

Yes, exactly.
When the indians tears hit the ground, they turned to black round pieces of stone,or obsidian.
The weird part is the round balls are only found here, and no where else in the world from what I was told.
Not the obsidian,the round balls.
