I think its from an Egyptian revival watch fob. Thats my guess.

There would be several of these hooked together. If I get a chance Ill take a picture from my 1909 Sears catalog. They may have some similar.

Another thought would be bracelet or belt.

This is an Egyptian Revival watch fob.

The Sears company started selling these around 1905, when one appeared in it's catalog.

It has Egyptian symbols on both sides, usually includes a medallion with a sphinx and pyramids
on one side and a pharoah and various hieroglyphic symbols on the other side.

The medallions were later made separately for wearing as amulets or jewelry.

Some are found with the loops removed and look like coins.

I have seen versions of this item for years on Internet coin and metal detecting boards,
on Ebay, at coin shows, and even in movies.

See my website under "Egyptian Magic Coin Token" for more information on these items.

:)

A similar design was also used in a bracelet, although the panel you have is a good match for the fob. Could be more of it nearby!

You're one of the best Bigcy. My hat's off to you, but you can't have the hat. It's a Tilly.

Yes on all of the accounts: Watch fob, bracelet, or ladies belt. Neat find, Breezie
