Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
I started off back a few years ago with a BH which I loved at the time but then moved on up to a Garrett which I loved also, Now I own a minelab se pro that I really love & have found lot's of silver with which is what I love to do is silver hunt. Anyway, just thought I would hear from some of you ladies & gentleman on what your favorite detector is. I know you have a favorite for different things you do but if you had to give them all up which one would you keep :laughing7: I'm snowed in here I got to get something started to cheer me up :BangHead:

Up until this month? My Minelab E-Trac, hands down. But now I have a CTX and am doing very well with it!

:laughing7:I'm in love with an M6 right now.

Probably the most use and enjoyment was my Xterra 705.......now it's the Etrac. I am really loving the Etrac!!!

My Xterra 705 is a joy to use. Nice and light, beautiful tone, and spot on pinpointing.

I am really starting to love my new Fisher F75ltd....but it has a lot of finding to do to take the place of my ATPro! The pro has found me a pile of awesome relics and coins...

Fisher F-75SE (one of the first year offerred).

When you say you if have to give them ALL up,how can you say which one would you keep? Myself I refuse to give any up !!!! That being said, I find things with all the detectors I have, so I would say there is no favorite between them. F75 LTD, DFX and AT PRO.

So far the Sov GT. But, I am always looking for something to take it's place. Been through about zillion detectors so far and got a zillion more to try.

DEFINITELY my AT Pro. Best detector for how much you pay. It pretty much does everything, and is submersible. It truly is all terrain. Also, Garrett is very good with customer support.

I simply love my X-Terra 505, it's an awesome performer! As far as having the most joy with a detector (so far)? Would have to be my Fisher F2! If I could only buy one detector on a budget of under $300, it would be an F2.

Well, this isn't how you wanted it, but here's my answer. I gave up all the ones that didn't give me pleasure and kept the favorites. They serve different purposes so I couldn't rightly ditch any of them. They have been giving me pleasure for over 12 years. They are listed under my Avatar. Frank...
PS: When you buy quality, it really doesn't get old when the new model comes along.

Like Frankn, I have several favorites, each for a different purpose. For coin hunting, Bounty Hunter BigBud Pro Se. For relics and gold, Treasure Baron. For underwater I use A treasure Ray. All have served me well for years and have found many treasures. I have owned many more, Whites surf master, Fisher 1225, Garrett BFO, and a few others. Good Luck. rockhound

Actually my White's Coinmaster Classic 1 that I bought in a pawn shop in Lawton OK for 90 bucks some years back. No bells and whistles, just one knob, and once I learned the sound it paid for itself a few times over in change alone. I spent a lot of time trying to locate unknown or lost historic sites in SW Oklahoma, where I would dig everything, and it worked great for that. My most remarkable find with it was a diamond stud earring 5 inches deep, but that was an exception. I got the White's DFX now mainly as a status symbol, and I still go into areas where I want to dig every hit up here so I usually set it for that. I do not pay much attention to the screen. It's a serviceable machine and I like it. It's best quality is if it says it's a quarter in the ground, it always is. My best find so far with it is an 1876 CC dime, at only a half inch deep.

I've had an Etrac for about two weeks now and I'm starting to really enjoy it. I still have a lot to learn though until I can unlock it's full potential!

Deadeye your just saying that because "they" are reading your post and you don't want to make 'em mad!

I really love my coinmaster GT!!!

Don't laugh at old school. The most fun I ever had was many years ago. And the machine I'm gonna tell you about can still keep up with most of today's detectors. A TESORO HIP MOUNT ELDORADO WITH A 11 inch WIDE SCAN LOOP ! That's right ! I said LOOP !!

When I first received my F-70, I fell asleep with the manual on my chest and detector at my feet. My woman looked at me strange during breakfast? ;) Peace
