Found in Tennessee this week in an area that the civil war was fought. We have no idea what it was. It tested positive for silver. It was about 4 inches down in a wooded area if that matters at all. We are new to this.

Looks like slag maybe someone was melting down so old silver forks and spoons. Thanks for posting, marion
