what was your first silver

wow amazing finds everyone. i'm quite hooked my self can't wait to get better weather
 

I don't remember either! Started 44 years ago in 1969 when it was common to find $3 to $5 in silver every outing, also lots of jewelry. It was the good old days, I remember them fondly while hunting with my dad.
 

A 1964 silver wash.
1975 - 12 yrs old - hit my aunts house and hunted around an old picnic table
they used to play cards on - coin was like 3-4 inches down and like mint

1853 3 Krultzer ,German coin about the size of a dime.

Wow, I don't remember.....I started metal detecting in 1971.....over 41 years ago, and with over 200,000 coins found.....Back then over 90% of all the dimes, quarters, half dollars, and Dollars I found were SILVER......"The Good Old Days".......but most likely a common silver Roosevelt dime.
