What your oldest coin?

nickle 1954
quarter 1942
dime 1952
IHP 1898
Wheat 1910

1876 quarter 1 inch deep

Congrats on a seated quarter, still have yet to find anything seated, must have been a rush finding that! Crazy how some very old items can be so shallow, and modern zincolns sometimes 8 inches deep.

My oldest *dated* coin is this 1749 British Farthing:

Awesome thread, by the way. :occasion14:

My oldest by denomination are all in my signature.

Oldest American coin is a 1842 seated dime, I have also found numerous Chinese cash coins, unknown dates.

My oldest is an 1859 Indian Head penny, which oddly enough, was my first Coinstar find. My oldest find with a detector is an 1865 Indian Head.

I believe I have a 1/4 of a real from Spain (Silver) from 1700.

To date (found early this year) my oldest is a 1849 Large Cent. I am still amazed by it.
