Thank You...That type of story has been posted about 100 times. This board has been here since 2002...ArtWhen I was a contractor in Ventura, California I recall the city hiring a sub contractor to dowse for clay water pipes under asphalt roads. I was working one day at a house, and noticed a fella dowsing with two copper bent rods and marking the asphalt with upside down spray paint to mark the locations of clay water pipes. I stopped what i was doing went outside and observed for a while. After approaching the man, he said he was taught by an older gentlemen who did this for the county.

It will be up to vor to find the gold. Digging is not easy. How will he do it? Shovel? Backhoe? By himself? Multiple diggers? How many other people will he get involved? What type of electronics will he use to pinpoint the EXACT location to dig? How deep will he be willing to dig? How easy will he give up if there is nothing near the surface? If he brings in others, can he trust them not to doublecross him? What percentage of correct map dowsing would prove it can work? 100% accuracy everytime? 75%? 50%? 10%? 5%? Heck, if you could find gold in one out of ten holes you dig, that would not be bad. Nobody bats 1000. How often do pros shoot holes-in-one? Even the best are not perfect.
I have seen map dowsing work with my own eyes. Does that mean that I have dug up a bunch of treasures? No. I believe it is my own fault. For instance, it does not take more than a handfull of gold to be worth a LOT of money. On Pawnstars they paid a guy $35,000 dollars for one gold coin. It did not even have any provenance. I have dug with a backhoe and I assure you we were not checking each scoop load for gold the way we should have. We were looking for that pot-of-gold or pirate chest. I have no doubt that we dug up and reburied gold.
I am now older and wiser than when I first started hunting. I am taking it a little slower and trying to learn from my mistakes. Do I believe in map dowsing? Yes, I have seen it work. Will vor find gold. It is not that easy, we will see. Read my signature that is at the bottom of all my posts.

“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.”
~ Albert Einstein
Do I have to know anything about a refrigerator besides how to level it, Plug it in and how to turn the dial to adjust the temperature?...The same with Dowsing...Take the rods, find a signal and follow it to the target....That I can do...Art
I don’t know of any Dowsing schools...I can tell you how to find out if you can Dowse or not before you waste your time.. http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/dowsing/10838-want-try-dowsing.html
Well..When I gave my classes to FAA students there was always one or two that could not do it..I know that most Dowsers have over 100 milvolts running between their hands...ArtI do have one question before I waste anyone's time. Can anyone dowse that really wants to, or do you have to have a certain touch for it to work?
