- I use quahog shells I find on R.I. beachs while detecting
they are great to bake in

Hey man, we get some pretty good clams down my way as well, but nothing...absolutely nothing beats "Chowda" from Mass..went to school in Providence for 4 years..you guys rake your own clams?

The secret to a good chowda is fried salt pork.

Fried salt pork? That is good to know, Thanks! Around here we have butter clams and you have to move a lot of rocks and dig for them, minus tide required. One beach nearby has razor clams and you need a clam gun, and a minus tide for also. "Chowda" sounds good!

I use to like them razor clams in Maine.......Raw that is..shuck em-n-eat em!

Cold beer and waitresses are always a good things, but watching two men in spandex wrestling on the ground I can do without. .I prefer watching the sweet science. .to each their own.

Fresh fried bass and catfish with potato wedges, cheese grits and a garden salad. Caught 7 channel catfish, 9 speckled perch and one bass last night at a spillway. The cats were 2 to 5 pounds. Going back tonight.

Catch a few cats for me, I am dying for some fresh catfish, Doughbait or Liver? I can't deal with eating bass, every time I eat them, they taste like the lake they came out of..
