So I am at the super market and decide to check out the coinstar. Well I Find some clad under the machine then I start to notice all these bags and tins cans in the garbage next to it with all this change in it. so I meticulously start to go thru it sorting the good bad and the ugly and man I just kept finding coins. I was hoping to get a little more silver out of all those dimes but whose complaining!! Nice 1955 silver dime and a couple of wheaties! I havent even looked thru all the other stuff yet.

sweet finds! I usually find them empty but did find a dime & penny yesterday and a euro cent a few weeks ago. I've had more luck around the bottom of the machines than in the coin bin--People drop change and don't pick it up for some reason?

Probably was an older lady cashing in her change she's collected over the years because she can't afford to live on what she makes and reaches in to get the casts offs and caught her ring underneath unbeknown to her looses her diamond. :( Stupid I don't know :'(

Your absolutely right on! there! they even tend to throw the rejects under the machine once I found 2 silver dimes and another silver coin. they get a little sticky
I highly recomend you check the containers and the waste container close to the machine thats been loaded with loose coins check out my other post.

I walked by one this morning and there were some coins in the tray, but I was a chicken. Seems like I am stealing or something. :icon_scratch: Should have just grabbed em and ran. :laughing7:

what?--- if they were just laying on the ground in the parking lot wouldn't you snag em?-- same basic ideal --they are just setting there "abandoned" waiting for whoever reaches out and takes em -- now git back there and snag dem coins! soldier.

rule #1 always take any "free" money when its offered be it change in coinstar machines -- coins dropped on the ground --scrap aluminum cans -- hell its all "free' money --buy a lotto ticket -- at no cost out of pocket to you via this "free money" --- win and you will get even more free money -- or you can buy nice collector grade silver coins or other goodies for "free" -- hustle, hustle.hustle
