"Why do these quarters sound so funny?".....

A girl that i know, not very well, but know her nonetheless, had a small stack of quarters, and was complaining that someone gave them to her, and they were "fake". she would drop them from one hand to the other accordion style..."clink clink clink clink"...she would then complain that they sounded really funny, so they were fake. other people around us agreed, that they were abnormal. unfortunately i only had a dollar on me, so i offered her a dollar for one of the quarters...she then takes the dollar and says i can have all of them, since she doesnt care, because they were fake...i didnt protest the matter .....i received 5 silver washington quarters, $1.25 face value, for $1.00

nice conclusion to the matter...she was happy cuz she got rid of her "fake" quarters, and i was happy to get them

No, she was SHORTED .25. She was DEFRAUDED out of $35.00, give or take.

I'd like to see what would happen if the OP goes back to tell her that those were, in fact, silver quarters worth a bundle and he knew the whole time as he was making the transaction.

And how much do you pay for what you dig out of the ground?

i g n o r a n t --amazing what a space between letters will do -- computer "nanny" anti cussing / bad word programs only "see" letter strings -- a space breaks the string of letters thus the computer doesn't see it.

all i g n o r a n t means is that you do not know something * -- in that respect we are all i g n o r a n t about something or another --since no one human being "knows everything"
