Why doesnt my metal detector pick this up?

I put some 22kt acid on this rock and it faded slightly and that was about it.
My metal detector wont pick it up, I have an ace250

Double check your settings and discrimination? Could something have accidently got "notched off"?
Try in jewelry mode? Sorry if I'm no help, but good luck!

I would guess its bornite aka peacock stone, google peacock stone, then look under the images tab.
Peacock stone is a type of pyrite also known as fools gold, some will show up on a detector, some will not, I have several types and have tested that

iron pyrite * with iron notched out will not ring up -in jewelry mode --iron is auto notched out on a ace 250*

I also have mine set to all metal. I'm just hardcore like that. I need to some how find a gold nugget to test on this detector. thnx for the info guys, we found this thing near a creek that has lots of copper ore
