WOW!!!! Storm that is an impressive upgrade. Bills would actually be much lighter lol. But, we are in the coin business.

Re: Why I am not ashamed to be called a "Clad Stacker"!!

PURTY! :D :D far purtier than bills too! ;)

Re: Why I am not ashamed to be called a "Clad Stacker"!!

A little over $400.00 Everytime I purchase something, all the change gets put into my jar with my clad finds. This is about 3-4 months worth. Yeah, Bills are lighter, but "golden dollars" look nicer LOL

I did the same, except I bought all silver.
That gold looks very nice.

Yeah, I was thinking of buying some Morgans or something....But I can always do that down the road if I want. Maybe at the end of the year

I don't think nobody would hate that stack. :D Wow, it is purty....keep it up with that SE!

I am not ashamed to be a clad stacker as well but I have to opt for the bills due to a lack of storage space in my 1100' homely abode.

Nothing wrong with that.

The golden look makes it look like a kings ransom. Some really pretty stacks!

Nice little cache of cash there dude.. you're not thinking about wrapping it up in something and burying it in the yard somewhere are you? <grin> wouldn't *THAT* make some future detectorist's day! WOOHOO! I'd bet there'd be some chicken dance going on that day for sure!
You say that's all from just this year? Along with pocket change added to it hmmm? Well then I don't feel so bad at all. Being a newby at this hobby I didn't think I was finding much but I've found over 1700 coins for around $160.oo so far this year.. and that's only a little over three months of one or sometimes two hunts a week. <SMILE> I've also found a couple of silver rings, a bunch of wheat pennies and a pocket full of various tokens.. along with hundreds of metal odds and ends, and THOUSANDS of pull tabs. I'm keeping a five gallon bucket in my garage to drop my pull tabs into, when it's full I'm going to take it to the recycling center and see what they'll pay me for them <grin> maybe not much, but it's more than if I'd left them where I found them so that some other poor schmuck would dig them up at another time. <grin>
Yeah I'd LOVE to find a horde like the one you converted your finds into. ANYONE would. Keep up the hunt dude! No doubt that horde of your's will grow and grow.

Frodov

P.S. Anyone know a good jeweler that can make a mold of a pull tab? I want to melt down some silver and make me a solid silver pull tab to put on a chain. <laughing> Talk about a conversation piece!

Joel I know your off work today, my guess is you are busy cleaning and wrapping all your memorial cents? :o
