Older blue Excal with full mods, Equinox 800.
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
In an effort to stymie the winter doldrums, TH is allowing me to hold a simple contest. So here's how it is going to work;

I have selected a number between 1 - 300 and the first person to guess that number wins a free book, Florida's East Coast Gold & How You Can Find It. (Seeker41 is keeper of the selected number.)

Rules: Only one guess per person per day. And, you must also include either a picture of a find, your equipment, or a word or two of treasure hunting wisdom. Should be fun and entertaining and might help to keep hunters inspired through these winter months.

An inch of sand movement can be the difference between finding this and missing it. I checked the same hole within 2 hours....2nd time was a charm.

As soon as you enter the water you become part of the food chain. A Great White was spotted near the north end of the island I am now hunting. The south side is looking like the place to hunt...

even as a kid i all ways told everybody, " as soon as you leave dry sand ever thing will either bite you, eat you, or sting you" gotta love the beach!!!

If you pick up trash and don't throw it away properly then you are littering as well.
Take a kid metal detecting, seriously. If they are to get technology, wouldn't you want your child doing this instead of online crap?

How about 213 ? Add a zero in there and it makes 2013???

Oh well...

Words of wisdom....“We buy too many things we don't need with money we don't have to impress people we don't like.”

Also.....sometimes the first hole of the day, is the best hole of the day..

187...day 2 guess...keep your coil level through the whole swing

170 - "Sic semper tyrannis: Thus ever to tyrants."

94

When you are in the ocean and all the small fish are jumping out of the water and racing in one direction, they are running away from something, do not wait to find out what that something is.

Day 2 guess: 179

"Wise men say in times of trouble, mother Mary come to me, speaking words of wisdom...let it be, let it be."

Day 3 guess for me - 171

Another find from this past October

Day 3 - my guess 63.

Words of wisdom: carpe diem = seize the day.

Probably one of my favorite finds in 20 years of detecting - due to my deep respect for our veterans past and present.

WW11 volunteer service medal....found at an out of the way picnic/green space.

Regards + HH

Bill

2...I dont know everything, but what I dont know isnt important.

Lookindown: I have agreed with every post of yours up until this one. I find you to be an intelligent man and I value your opinion. I would ask you to reconsider..."What I do not know IS most important."

Best regards,

Crispin
