In an effort to stymie the winter doldrums, TH is allowing me to hold a simple contest. So here's how it is going to work;

I have selected a number between 1 - 300 and the first person to guess that number wins a free book, Florida's East Coast Gold & How You Can Find It. (Seeker41 is keeper of the selected number.)

Rules: Only one guess per person per day. And, you must also include either a picture of a find, your equipment, or a word or two of treasure hunting wisdom. Should be fun and entertaining and might help to keep hunters inspired through these winter months. :thumbsup:

I do like green stones a lot too. Notice the sand particles stuck in the grooves before cleaning.

Day 5 - my guess is 55.

Wisdom:If you're not digging pulltabs you're missing the gold.

Here's a cool marine iron concretion I found last month. Notice the pottery shards, trade beads, and musket flints!

My FIRST gold ring and it had 2 little real diamonds. I was hooked after that.

Small14 k band. I was hunting 4 jewelry.Found 30 feet down by sight on a rocky river bottom /2 of those go pros came in one dive.
First found a 7 foot Fenwick rod and reel then a go pro This is all taking place in a back eddy in the rapids.Then just below the rapids in about 5 feet of water I see the second go pro I lunged for it camera and rod in one hand garbing rocks with the other trying to pull me self up it was a stalemate I couldn't get to it I was fighting for a while surfaced still kicking like a mother I got it.Hyperventilating on a island right below IT WAS ALL GOOD

#27, (If in doubt dig it out)
